Brachiosaurus is one of the largest and most well-known herbivorous dinosaurs in the world. It owes its name to the characteristic limbs – specifically their size. The forelimbs were longer than the hindlimbs, which made Brachiosaurus seem even taller. Currently, the genus Brachiosaurus includes one species: Brachiosaurus altithorax.

The Brachiosaurus skeleton displayed at the Berlin Natural History Museum is the largest such skeleton in the world.
