Koza sandomierska jest jedną z trzech polskich ras kóz, obok karpackiej i kazimierzowskiej. Powstała wraz początkiem chasydyzmu w Polsce, na przełomie XIX i XX w. w dorzeczu Wisły i Sanu. Wypasana była w Puszczy Sandomierskiej. Niestety, była już bliska całkowitego wymarcia. Od 2016 r. na Uniwersytecie Przyrodniczym w Lublinie są prowadzone prace odtwarzające tę rasę. Niewątpliwym plusem kozy sandomierskiej są walory smakowe mleka, gdzie charakterystyczny kozi zapach jest niewyczuwalny.

Sandomierz-Ziege (DE)

einheimische Rasse
Die Sandomierz-Ziege ist eine der drei polnischen Ziegenrassen, neben der Karpaten- und Kazimierz-Ziege. Diese Rasse entstand zusammen mit dem Anfang des Chassidismus in Polen, um die Wende von XIX auf XX Jahrhundert in dem Einzugsgebiet von Weichsel und San. Sie wurde im Sandomierz-Urwald weiden gelassen und war leider vom Aussterben bedroht. Seit 2016 werden Arbeiten an der Lubliner Universität für Naturwissenschaften durchgeführt, um diese Rasse wiederherzustellen. Ein Vorteil der Sandomierz-Ziege sind die geschmacklichen Vorzüge ihrer Milch, wo der charakteristische Geruch nicht merkbar ist.

Sandomierz goat is one of the three Polish goat breeds, next to Carpathian and Kazimierz goats. This breed emerged at the beginning of Hasidism in Poland, at the turn of the 19th and 20th century in the river-basin of Vistula and San. Its main grazing area was the Sandomierz Forest. Unfortunately, it came close to complete extinction. Since 2016 works are underway at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin to restore this breed. One of the unquestioned advantages of the Sandomierz goat is the taste of its milk, which lacks the characteristic smell.
