Kuc szetlandzki (PL)

Są to niewysokie koniki mierzące do 107 cm wzrostu w kłębie, które zamieszkują Wyspy Szetlandzkie: tereny położone na północ od Wielkiej Brytanii. Niegdyś wykorzystywane były w kopalniach, transporcie i w pracach na roli. Wypas od wieków odbywa się przez cały rok na dworze, bez stajni. Dzięki temu są bardzo silne, wytrzymałe, odporne na choroby i długowieczne. Wyróżniają się cierpliwym, spokojnym i łagodnym charakterem. Wiele światowej sławy gwiazd jeździectwa zaczynało swoją naukę od tych właśnie koni.

Shetlandpony (DE)

Shetlandponys sind kleine Pferde, die bis zu 107 cm im Widerrist messen und Shetlandinseln bewohnen – Gebiete nördlich von Großbritannien. In der Vergangenheit wurden sie zu Bergwerkarbeiten, Transport und Landarbeiten genutzt. Sie weiden seit Jahrhunderten ausschließlich draußen, ohne Pferdestall, sodass diese Ponys sehr stark, abgehärtet, widerstandsfähig gegen Krankheiten und langlebig sind. Sie sind durch ihre Geduld, Ruhe und Sanftmütigkeit gekennzeichnet. Viele der weltbekannten Reiter haben auf dem Shetlandpony angefangen.

They are short horses, measuring up to 107 cm in height. They live on the Shetland Islands, located north of Great Britain. In the past, they were used in mining work, transport and farming. Their pasturage has taken place outside year-round for centuries. That’s why they are very strong, exceptionally resistant, and characterised by longevity. What makes them stand out is their patient, calm and gentle character. Many of the world-famous equestrians started on a Shetland pony.
